Group 7even to have work published in nationally released book
September 29, 2011
Group 7even, a Valparaiso-based marketing agency, was approached by the team of Anita Campbell and David Langton to include creative work in their upcoming book, Visual Marketing: 99 Proven Ways for Small Businesses to Market with Images and Design. The book, designed to be a resource for small business owners, will present case studies though photos and illustrations where visual marketing was executed in unique, effective ways.
Campbell and Langton, experts in marketing for small businesses, requested Group 7even submit creative artwork from 2009 and 2010 for a local technology company. The campaign was selected because of its eye catching, attention grabbing creative work that was used in a unique way to build awareness of a new company and, ultimately, increase sales. Stellar creative combined with thought-provoking messaging resulted in a highly successful campaign with measurable results.
Group 7even is proud to have been selected to participate in Visual Marketing. Michelle Andres, President of Group 7even said, "We are very excited that work we did for a local business is being recognized at a national level. In the past, topnotch marketing was reserved for large corporations with huge marketing budgets. We are proud that we can bring that same quality of work to small and medium sized businesses in Northwest Indiana."
The book's release date is slated for September 29, 2011, and can be purchased online at amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com and in bookstores.
Group 7even Welcomes Summer Intern
July 14, 2011
Group 7even is proud to announce their newest team member, Gabrielle Phillips, who will be working at Group 7even this summer as an Internal Public Relations Intern.
Gabrielle is a student at Purdue University where she is working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, minoring in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. After she graduates in December 2012, Gabrielle plans to pursue a career in advertising. A Valparaiso native, Gabrielle was drawn to Group 7even by its expertise in implementing integrated marketing strategies. Throughout the duration of her internship, she hopes to gain experience in creating marketing strategies, which will be useful in her future endeavors.
As an active board director of the American Advertising Federation at Purdue, Gabrielle has obtained hands-on experience in advertising campaign design and execution for a nationally recognized brand. While working as a team member of a student-run advertising agency, she fashioned an extensive budget-friendly media plan, created target audience profiles based on consumer insight analytics, and collected and analyzed data for a campaign plan book.
Gabrielle has already proven to be an invaluable asset for the Group 7even team. She has worked very hard on a plan for Group 7even's Public Relations efforts and will be spending the remainder of her summer helping to implement her plan.
Group 7even is thrilled to be a part of the development of such a talented individual.
Group 7even works with United Way 2-1-1 to Launch Regional Website
March 31, 2011
United Way 2-1-1 just launched its new Regional website, www.myuw211.org, in collaboration with Group 7even.
United Way 2-1-1 is the nationally designated number for information and referral across the country. It quickly and efficiently connects callers with local human, health, and social services in their community.
Group 7even has had a longstanding relationship with United Way of LaPorte County (UWLPC) and played an integral part in launching UWLPC’s My UW 2-1-1 campaign in early January 2010. LaPorte County was introduced to 2-1-1’s call, chat, & search services through unique and eye-catching posters, window clings, wallet cards, informational brochures and a website designed, written, and built by Group 7even.
Between its launch and early February 2011, 2-1-1 received 2,037 calls from LaPorte County and received 1,533 unique visits to the website. Due to its astounding success in LaPorte County, the St. Joseph County 2-1-1 Call Center partnered with Group 7even and five additional United Ways to take the My UW 2-1-1 campaign to a regional level.
Until now, 2-1-1 had a more limited database and only provided web services to LaPorte County. The Regional 2-1-1 database includes over 2,000 local agencies with approximately 8,000 programs and services in Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph Counties.
With the new Regional website, in addition to call capabilities, the entire region will be able to access the new, larger database through chat and search capabilities. Users can chat live with a specialist or search the expansive 2-1-1 database by keyword. The new website adds more convenience and anonymity to an already amazing local resource.

United Way of St. Joseph County supports a large network of local nonprofit agencies. By providing a convenient way for employees at the workplace to give back and to help those in need, United Way is able to raise funds and distribute them to local health and human services agencies.
“United Way of St. Joseph County has worked tirelessly to raise funds and provide direct services to meet the needs of its community,” said Michelle Andres, President of Group 7even. “It’s regional 2-1-1 call center is first rate and has given thousands of individuals access to help that they may not have otherwise had. It is our privilege to work with this amazing organization.”
The problems facing non profit organizations today demand a more strategic approach. United Way of St. Joseph County selected Group 7even because of its experience in working with clients and thought leaders in this ever-changing and complex industry. “Group 7even represents the best in strategic planning, innovative technology, and creative development.
