Group 7even Pieces Win Big at the Indiana Association of United Ways' GEM Awards

On March 10, 2011, several United Way pieces created by Group 7even won awards at the Indiana Association of United Ways' GEM (Golden Excellence in Media) Awards.

There were 102 entries from 32 United Ways/Funds in this year’s contest. Entries were judged on innovation, accomplishment of purpose, production quality, and measurable success.

The United Way of LaPorte County 2-1-1 brochure created by Group 7even in early 2010 as part of a larger campaign won first place in the “Miscellaneous”category and won the prestigious GEM Award (awarded to the top piece out of all five category’s 1st place winners) for Metro III-V United Ways.

The Lake Area United Way, United Way of LaPorte County, and United Way of Porter County collaborative Success by 6 Freckles the Frog campaign (including Group 7even created materials and website, www.uwsuccessby6.org) won 1st place in the “Education, Income and Health Strategies” category for Metro I-II United Ways.

The United Way of St. Joseph County FoodStock benefit concert poster, created by Group 7even in the summer of 2010, won 2nd place in the “Special Events” category; monthly e-newsletter won 2nd place in the “Annual Reports/Newsletters” category; and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) brochure won 2nd place in the “Education, Income and Health Strategies” category for Metro III-V United Ways.
