Account Assistant Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, and proactive account assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will oversee tasks delegated to you by the account executive, coordinate with all necessary team members and vendors, and ensure that the project is moving forward on time and on budget. You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be highly organized, adaptable, dependable, and have the ability to prioritize tasks while working independently. You should have a creative mind, with the patience to nurture its development, as well as the flexibility and willingness to jump in wherever needed in the agency. 

 

Account Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the project manager and creative team to maximize productivity
  • Coordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants efficiently
  • Report updates to management on tasks assigned
  • Monitor budget and help ensure resources are used efficiently
  • Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as research, email, errands, etc.
  • Demonstrate commitment to clients’ needs and confidentiality continuously
  • Draft agency briefs to ensure work is on strategy
  • Manage project timelines to ensure that deliverables meet client deadlines
  • Review and route creative elements through internal approval process
  • Write proposals, conference reports, status reports, and client correspondence
  • Participate in creative ideation sessions and other planning meetings
  • Research and compile information for projects and presentations
  • Manage vendor contacts
  • Gain thorough understanding of the agency, its structure, and its functions
  • Foster further understanding of client’s business and competition

 

Account Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or Marketing
  • Ability to present information to a client in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Ability to proactively address potential issues
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of industry-specific software
  • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
  • Positive and encouraging personality
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and a desire for continuing education
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the team’s success
  • Discipline and drive to stay on time and on budget
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional proofreading skills

Salary: $35,000/year
Benefits: 401k + Paid Time Off
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, In Office
